CRFA continues to oppose Ontario tipping bill

(Aug. 29/12) CRFA recently met with the Minister of Labour Linda Jeffrey to discuss the Private Member’s Bill (Bill 107) that would prevent employers from sharing in tips. We have consistently argued that this one-line Bill is a simplistic response to a complex issue.
The Ministry committed to work with us to review the issue, and promised there would be no surprises to the restaurant industry.
