CRFA Director Don Richardson (left) joined CRFA’s Joyce Reynolds and Dwayne Marling (right) to challenge SLGA President Barry Lacey on the five per cent beer discount that excludes licensed restaurants.(Apr. 15/11) CRFA met with the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) to challenge the five per cent beer discount given to beverage room operators. Announced in the March 23 provincial budget, this discount unfairly excludes licensed operators.
CRFA reminded SLGA President Barry Lacey that previous Minister Dan D’Autremont had promised to extend the discount to all classes of licensees. We are also seeking a meeting with the Minister Responsible for SLGA, Hon. Tim McMillan, to discuss the need for a level playing field for all classes of liquor licensees in Saskatchewan.
