Ottawa extends deadline for G20 Summit claims

(Aug 24/10) A win for CRFA members!

In a win for CRFA members affected by the G20 Summit, the federal government has extended the deadline for claims to Nov. 17, 2010.

Restaurants can submit claims for loss of business due to the Summit’s security measures if:

The government has not closed the door on compensation for other areas of the city.  Officials will consider well-documented and supported claims outside the eligible zones and just before or after the qualifying period.

CRFA encourages all Toronto restaurants that sustained losses directly related to the G20 to submit claims for compensation.  CRFA members can contact our G20 Hotline at 416-649-4214 or G20@crfa.ca for more information on submitting their application.
