CRFA calls for fairness in dairy pricing


(Nov. 26/10) CRFA appeared before the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) on Nov. 18 to call for fairness in milk prices. During this annual stakeholder’s consultation on the price of industrial milk, CRFA demanded:

While CRFA explained that Canadian consumers, faced with tight disposable incomes, are moving away from high-cost dairy menu items towards value choices, some producers called for industrial milk price increases of 7.2 per cent. The CDC will announce its pricing decision in mid December.
