(Dec. 22/09) St. John’s – The Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA) met with Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams yesterday to share success stories and present him with a personalized chef jacket.
St. John’s restaurateur Brenda O’Reilly – who is also serving as Chairman of the CRFA – along with CRFA Vice President Atlantic, Luc Erjavec, delivered several messages to the Premier about the restaurant industry’s contribution to the provincial economy:
“The restaurant industry is vital to employment, tourism and community spirit,” says O’Reilly. “We’re very pleased to have the chance to share these messages with Premier Williams, and to encourage him to foster a stable business environment for our members to continue growing and investing in Newfoundland and Labrador.”
The meeting also marked CRFA’s 65th anniversary. Earlier this month, CRFA recognized several long-standing members at an industry reception at O’Reilly’s Yellowbelly Brewery and Public House.
