Trademark Protection

The CRFA name, logo, and all related product and service names, design marks, and slogans are the trademarks, service marks or registered trademarks of CRFA. Reproduction of any of these marks or their use in any manner without the express written consent of CRFA is strictly prohibited.

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks to the CRFA website from another website must adhere to the following rules, unless you have a written agreement with CRFA that states otherwise:

  • The link must be a text-only link clearly marked "Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association" ;
  • the link must take the user directly to the URL www.crfa.ca and not to other pages within the CRFA website;
  • use and appearance of the link must not damage or dilute the good will associated with CRFA's name and trade-marks, or create a false impression that an organization or initiative is associated with or sponsored by CRFA;
  • The link, when activated by a user, must display the CRFA website full-screen and not within a frame on the linked website.

CRFA reserves the right to revoke its consent to the link at any time.

Security and the internet

Visitors to crfa.ca and other internet sites should be aware that complete confidentiality and security is not yet possible; internet use and communication may be subject to interception, loss and alteration. Although we cannot take responsibility for any theft, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, loss, alteration, or destruction of data by a third party, we do take reasonable precautions to prevent such occurrences. You acknowledge and agree that CRFA shall not be responsible for any damages you may suffer as a result of the transmission of confidential or sensitive information over the internet, and that all such communications will be at your own risk.

Surveys

From time to time, CRFA may conduct surveys on the CRFA web site. If you choose to participate, you may be asked to provide contact information as well as additional survey information (approximate annual sales, for example). The information collected in surveys will be compiled for analysis and reported in aggregate. Personal information will not be disclosed to or shared with any other party and individual responses will not be disclosed without prior consent.

Third party links

To serve the needs of our visitors, the CRFA web site contains links to other web sites or online resources. These third party sites are not under the control of CRFA and CRFA is not responsible for the contents and activities of any linked site or any link contained in the linked site. Similarly, CRFA has no responsibility or liability for or control over those other websites or internet resources or their collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. We recommend that you read the privacy policies of these and other web sites to learn if and how your personal information is collected and used. Finally, the inclusion of a third party link on the CRFA site is does for informational purposes only; CRFA does not endorse, warrant or guarantee the products or services described or offered at other internet sites.

Policy changes

To accommodate changes in our service, in technology, and in legal developments, this privacy policy may change over time. Whenever CRFA makes such changes, we will change the date on the policy to indicate when the changes were made.
